Analýza reprodukčních ukazatelů plemene limousine ve vybraném chovu
Neubauerová, Ester
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the reproductive indicators of the limousine breed in the selected breeding. For this purpose, monitoring and data collection was carried out in the period of 2021 and 2022. Subsequently, an analysis of selected reproductive indicators was carried out, which mainly included the percentage of conception (%), gross and net birth natality (%). Using the results, it was possible to evaluate the fertilization ability of breeding bulls that were used as part of natural breeding in breeding. In each year, all cows were divided into 3 herds and a breeding bull was then placed in each herd. As part of the monitoring, a lower percentage of pregnancy on average was found in a specific breeding for all monitored cows, namely in 2021 and 2022 (77.8% and 55.3%). This lower conception rate also resulted in a lower percentage of gross and net birth natality (74.1% and 51.8%). However, when looking at specific herds, significant differences can be seen with regard to the breeding bull used. As for the gender representation of calves born, in both years bulls prevailed over heifers.
Sledování reprodukce a přírůstků hmotnosti u výstavních holandských králíků
MASOPUSTOVÁ, Vladimíra
The diploma thesis deals with the monitoring of reproduction and weight gain in exhibition Dutch pet rabbits. The breed in which the work was monitored has stably 25 females and 8 - 10 males. During the breeding season, this breed base produces approximately 370 - 400 young rabbits. In the literary part of this work is described the history and origin of rabbit breeding in our country, the breed standard Dutch black, as well as general information about the sexual system, rabbit breeding and nutrition of these animals. The practical part includes monitoring, which deals with a given number of litters for the breeding period, in which natality and mortality, weight gains, the course of rearing and the drawing of the breed are monitored. In addition, behavior, pregnancy, childbirth and litter care are observed in females in breeding. At the end of the thesis, these findings are processed and the whole breeding is evaluated according to the obtained data.

Jiroušová, Martina ; Rychtaříková, Jitka (advisor) ; Bartoňová, Dagmar (referee)
Seasonal profile of nuptiality, natality and mortality in the Czech republic and international comparison Abstract The aim of this thesis is to capture changes in seasonality of nuptiality, natality and mortality in the Czech Republic and the factors that influence the seasonality. Despite the fact that these changes have been monitored since the 16th (nuptiality) and the 17th century (natality and mortality), the thesis focuses on the period from 1950s to 2012. Czech Republic is then compared with six other countries, with shorter reference period (2005-2012). Seasonal profile is represented by seasonal indexes and their variability is analyzed using the coefficient of variation. Seasonality of marriages was, especially in the 1950s, characterized by the accumulation of marriages in the last months of the year and in April, with later shift to the summer. The minimum was at the beginning of the period in the first quarter of the year and in May and later joined them low values in November and December. Due to superstitions about unhappy marriages, May was a month with a very low seasonal index throughout the period. The highest values of seasonal indexes of live births used to occur in the first half of the year and then shifted, as in the case of weddings, to the summer months. The minimum values did not...

Myšáková, Gabriela ; Hulíková Tesárková, Klára (advisor) ; Rychtaříková, Jitka (referee)
Methods of analysis of seasonality in demografy Gabriela Myšáková Abstract The thesis presents statistical methods suited for analysis of seasonality in time-series. Three statistical methods have been thoroughly described, namely the time-series decomposition, the X12−ARIMA method and the cointegration of time-series. Further methods applicable for similar analysis have been briefly discussed as well. Three main methods have been subsequently applied to monthly demographic data for the Czech Republic and chosen European countries by natality, nuptiality and mortality. Seasonality has been discovered in all three demographic events and by using the time-series decomposition and the X12−ARIMA method for time-series lay out to separate units, and those progressions have been track by graphic and verbal interpretation. Cluster analysis has been applied to European countries nuptiality and mortality time-series in order to reveal similarities and dissimilarities among particular countries. All the methods were used onto data set by using appropriate procedures in statistical software SAS.
The Relationship between Success in North American Sports and Birth Rates
Suchomel, Tomáš ; Janhuba, Radek (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
Sports are world phenomenon deeply ingrained in North American culture. The existing research suggests that sports outcomes have the potential to significantly influence the lives of emotionally interested fans. However, the question of relationship between sport outcomes and birth rates is not yet welldocumented. Hence, the objective of this thesis is to establish whether there is a significant relationship between overall victories in major North American sport competitions and the number of births in the relevant territorial units. In general, no conclusive evidence was found that an overall victory is associated with any significant effect. However, more telling results were obtained for individual competitions. Interestingly, our novel method considering the natural variability in pregnancy length outperformed the usual approach adopted in similar studies as results show that R2 and adjusted R2 are both larger for the new method in all comparable regressions.
Porodnost a plodnost obyvatelstva Českej republiky , vývoj a prostorová diferencovanost
SAMEK, Jakub
The bachelor thesis deals with the natality and fertility of the population in the Czech Republic. The primary goal of this work is to explain important definitions and concepts relating to reproduction, further to gather statistical data on development of natality and fertility necessary for elaborating the main part of the work. The main goal of the work is to analyse and evaluate the population´s reproduction rate not only in terms of time, but also from the spatial point of view, on the district and regional levels, and partly on the level of administrative districts. Based on the analyses, a typology of regions according to natality and fertility characteristics is made. The chosen indicators used for the analyses are crude birth rate, total fertility rate, non-marital birth and mean age at child birth. The gained results are presented in the form of cartographic out comes, a graph and tables.
